Jennifer and Dave Calvert left North Carolina to follow in the footsteps of Wallace Early. A captain in Company L of the 397th Infantry Regiment within the 100th Infantry Division of the US Army, Jennifer’s father had fought in the Pays de Bitche from December 1944 to March 1945.
